Supporting Our Young Carers: The Young Carers Hangout

Balancing school life with caring responsibilities can sometimes feel overwhelming. To support our incredible students, we host the Young Carers Hangout—a free, termly drop-in session designed specifically for our identified Young Carers.

We’ve created this safe, welcoming space to give pupils a well-deserved break from their daily routines. It’s a place to unwind, chat, and take part in fun, low-stress activities.

• Connection: A reassuring environment to share experiences and realise you are not alone.

• Peer Support: An opportunity to build friendships with other students who truly understand the unique balance of school and home responsibilities.

• A Space to Recharge: A chance to relax, feel heard, and just enjoy being yourself.
