Online safety during Halloween
Halloween is just around the corner and although this is a spooktastic time of year for many, it is still important to remind ourselves of some important safety tips????
We have an increasing number of children who are watching scary/violent films age rated as a 15 or above, and are talking about various characters such as Pennywise from the film IT here in school.
We are also aware of a new popular Netflix series called Squid Game (15). We have many pupils across both KS1 and KS2 talking about watching this, and even attempting to role play the games here in school.
I've been made aware today that there is now a Squid Game element which has been added to Roblox too, as well as links for Squid Game clips being all over UTube.
Can we remind you that this series and films such as these are age rated due to the level of violent/adult content.
Can we suggest you please check the film/tv content your children may be watching.
If you need any help or guidance on how to set parental filters up on Netflix/UTube/Xbox/Sky/Virgin please do ask and we can find this information for you.
I have attached some useful information around film/TVratings and some top tips for trick or treating????
