Welcome to Puffin Class. 

The teachers in Year 3 this year are Miss Smith and Miss Roberts.

We ask that all the children read regularly at home. If we are unable to provide your child with a reading book at school, they are able to log onto MYON and choose a book to read on the scheme. Please make sure you still record the title of the book and of course if they have read in their reading record. The login information is on the inside cover of their reading records.

We have PE on a Tuesday. Please can you ensure your child has navy or black jogging bottoms, a plain white t-shirt and a school jumper. It is also important that your child has appropriate footwear for their PE lessons. Children are able to come to school in their PE kits on a Tuesday. 

Term 2

We will be continuing with our topic about Victorians. However, this term we will be focusing on the railways and the local area.

Term 3

Our topic this term is 'Extreme Earth' and we will be learning all about volcanoes and earthquakes and the impact they have on people's lives and the environment. As we are learning from home this term please see the remote learning timetable below and also the topic web and homework grid. 

Term 4

We are so lucky to return to school this term to enjoy our 'Brilliant Britain' topic that will take us up to Easter. We will be learning all about The United Kingdom as well as wildlife and landmarks that can be found there. Please see below for our homework grid and topic web. 

Term 5

In Term 5 we are learning all about 'Rainforests.'  We will be looking at where they are in the world, what life is like in a rainforest and the impact of humans on their destruction. Please see below for our homework grid and topic web for this term. 

Term 6 

In term 6 our topic is 'The Olympics.' We will be learning all about how the Olympics began and the ethos behind the Olympics and nations coming together to compete. We will also learn about the host country for the 2021 Olympics- Japan. Please see below for our homework grid and topic web for the final term.
