Remote learning
Term 4 and we continue with remote learning!
Please look at the timetable in 'Curriculum Information' for when your child can join.
Make sure that your child joins all Google lessons with their own email.
Reading
We will continue with new book reading scheme this term.
We hope that you will be fully supportive of the new system. More details to follow.
An adult will still need to sign the reading record every night once your child has read or discussed
their book with you.
Please see the school’s Reading Policy for some extra ideas.
PE
Please note that PE is on a Monday.
Please ensure that your child comes to school in full P.E kit on this day.
P.E kit – Navy or black jogging bottoms for the winter.
Navy or black shorts, white t-shirt and Trainers.
Homework
This term reading, spellings and times tables/mental maths will be a focus. Please ensure your child can access Times Table Rockstars and MYon Reading.
Starting in the next few weeks, your child will be given maths homework every 2 weeks and English homework every 2 weeks.
Tuck Shop
Healthy snacks and drinks are available every day at 30p per item.
Term 1 and 2
During these terms, we have some very exciting learning to look forward to.
Our topic is 'The Victorians'. We will be finding out if this era still influences our lives today.
There will be lots of art opportunities for the children and cross curricular learning.

Term 3
Our topic this term is Extreme Earth! This will involve looking at volcanoes and earthquakes.
How do people live alongside volcanoes? How do earthquakes actually happen?
These are some questions we will be trying to answer!

Term 4
The topic this term is Brilliant Britain! We will be looking at all things British, including: countries, counties, towns, rivers, mountains, landmarks and animals.
What's the difference between a hill and a mountain? Where do rivers start and where do they go? What's the tallest mountain and the longest river?
These are some of the questions we'll be asking this term.

Term 5
During this first summer term, we will be studying rainforests. Where they are in the world, the different layers and the animals found there.
We will end by looking at deforestation and discussing - 'Are we too small to make a difference?'
There will be lots of art and DT opportunities too!

Term 6
The Olympics! Hopefully, it will go ahead this year.
Amongst other activities, we will be looking at where the games have been held before, where it is this year and possible impacts on Tokyo.
